In the state and society… the powder keg that exploded!

Arab countries experience quarrels, conflicts and clashes within their social fabric, and here I mean power, parties and institutions of civil society. A complex equation, neither in its composition nor in its dismantling, because it results in losses in all cases. And look at what is happening in Yemen, what Al-Houthi has done, going through Iraq, Lebanon and Libya, and the repercussions of external interference, not to mention the confrontation and escalation in Tunisia and Sudan. enough to realize the extent of this terrible danger. We used to say that the whole region is lying on a powder keg that is about to explode at any moment. But the explosions have already begun to threaten civil peace in these and other countries. It is true that some of these countries that experienced the atmosphere of the so-called Arab Spring could not transcend the post-revolutionary phase, but the characteristics of each society certainly play a central role in its democratic journey.
There are shining exceptions in the Arab world and examples of remarkable countries, such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, where Arab hope is renewed and reveals a blank page filled with hope and hope. optimism for a better future, as evidenced by the impressive development, cultural and economic transformations experienced by these countries, especially Saudi Arabia, which has become the global topic of conversation of what has happened and radical transformation unfolds there. It is real, based on a vision and interim plans in all aspects, despite the difficulties, but it is on the right track, and the impressive achievements, actions and stories are the title of the movement taking place in a country that was at the center of ridicule and sarcasm, but is now at the forefront, making its way with confidence, pride and haughtiness, far from compliments, lights and propaganda.
However, the Arab situation facing us in many countries prompts us to say frankly that there is a flaw that really makes it an unprecedented concern because it affects the security and stability of Arab countries and societies. . A deadly disease that eats away at the Arab body with differences, disputes and clashes, severing the bonds between societies with each other with all their racial, ethnic and sectarian components, with false pretenses and claims.
Consider the situation of this Arab man in these countries, who is no longer in harmony with himself, in addition to his turbulent and confused personality in the light of the formation of societies, some of which still suffer from intellectual and cultural disorder, especially to the presence of an ideology that acted as a bridge to obtain gains, as evidenced by the obsession with taking power that As we have noticed with the political movements of Islam, where the spoils represent the goal and ambition of groups, parties and individuals regardless of the legitimacy of the means.
Nevertheless, we recognize that the problem does not lie with the Arab citizen, but rather that he is a victim of his circumstances which govern him. These behaviors have become a tangible reality, as the relationship between state and society in many of our Arab countries is marred by a lot of distrust, congestion and a barrier that results in loss of trust and outbreaks of ‘instability.
The drift with the current of ideology as we live now and the conflicts of sectarianism, identity and sectarianism are among the most important phenomena of backwardness that characterize some of our Arab societies, and it is a real disaster which tends towards a pattern that is incompatible with today’s language. Close-mindedness, victim of convictions and ideas, and abandoning oneself to them reveals the intellectual superficiality of such and such an individual.
If we accept in vain the existence of foreign conspiracies and their role in the penetration of Arab societies and the purpose of their fragmentation, the bitter truth also tells us that if you were not fragile inside and that your inner front was shaken, it would not have been targeted from the outside, and therefore you are guilty at the beginning and at the end!
In this context, there are those who see conflict, strife, and violence as coming from nature (human behavior) as opposed to mind filtering that comes from law (order). The thinker Jacques Derrida previously diagnosed the state as an equation between two parts, equating the relationship between law and nature with a mechanical body, since the former is a system of coexistence, while the social contract is only actions. and individual wishes.
In any case, it is an approach in the conception of the contract between the law as a spirit and the social contract in terms of a utilitarian link, achieving a higher goal, which is to achieve civil peace in society, which is the object of our discussion in the article.
This obsession with the fear of an exacerbation of sectarian conflict which threatens civil peace has dominated the whole scene, leading many to expect the worst in the days to come. They are correct in that, given the ongoing conflict in Yemen and the actions and practices of the Houthis, in addition to old/new issues, such as the Copts issue in the Arab world, the Sunni-Alawite-Kurdish tension in Syria, the Sunni-Shiite conflict in Iraq and sectarian segregation in Lebanon, the quarrels of Islamists with the rest of the living forces of society in Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Jordan, the efforts and penetration of extremist groups in our Arab world whenever the occasion arises, are conclusive proofs of the divisions that will soon hinder democratic transformation and peaceful coexistence.
This tragedy requires a rapid intervention to reconsider the relationship between the State and the citizen, as well as the revision of the constitutions to realize the aspirations of their peoples, to strengthen their national unity, to create a state of balance between the higher interests of the States and popular demands, and spread the concept of coexistence and tolerance within their societies, as well as each other, and to establish equal justice and fight against corruption.
Unless the political mentality of some Arab countries changes in their treatment of internal issues and their rejection of external interference, this means opening the door to the perpetuation of sectarianism and the division of national unity. spilled milk !
