For UNRWA, which suffers from a significant lack of funding, and therefore mobilizing support for UNRWA and providing it with the necessary support to continue carrying out its tasks with regard to the Palestinian refugees is a priority for His Majesty, and that there is also the issue of Syrian refugees, about one million three hundred thousand Syrian brothers living in Jordan, international support for them is drastically decreasing. Ongoing. He referred to the international conference to be held in Brussels tomorrow to highlight the need for the international community to continue supporting refugees.

The crisis has lasted for more than 11 years and its victims number in the millions. the repercussions are catastrophic for the Syrian people first of all, and for the whole region, and therefore what we are saying in Jordan “that there must be a real movement to move towards a political solution to the crisis, because there is no there is no alternative to a political solution, emphasizing that in this context, there must be a collective Arab role to achieve this solution. He stressed that “it is unreasonable that everyone is sitting at the table except the Arab countries, which are more affected by the crisis now and in the future. Al-Safadi explained that there is a great discussion between the Arab countries and the international community in order to “reactivate a political effort that leads us to resolve the Syrian crisis, so that Syria restores its security, its stability, the health and role in the region, and also creates conditions that allow the voluntary return of refugees to their homeland.” Safadi said the decision to freeze Syria’s membership in the Arab League is a decision of a League Arab, and therefore the decision to return belongs to the common Arab countries, and there is no decision so far, and we are waiting for what the Arab countries will decide in this regard.
