In fact, any type of cancer can acquire the ability to spread, but only a few are able to spread to the bones. Those that do, like prostate cancer, tend to produce multisensory symptoms when they reach the spinal region. The warning signs, according to health authorities, are often felt in the lower limbs.
All types of cancer are equally deadly and can spread to extremities and nearby organs as they spread. Fortunately, a better understanding of the disease has led to the development of new treatments, but some types remain inherently deadly.

Prostate cancer is a prime example of a disease that has remained dangerous and deadly over the years. When the disease damages the nerves, it can cause pain, swelling, and numbness in the lower limbs.
The prostate is a gland no bigger than a golf ball, located between the bladder and the penis and which secretes a liquid which protects the sperm.
Most older men have cancer cells in the prostate glands. But because these cells usually grow slowly, they don’t cause symptoms or affect the health of most men,” says Harvard Health.
According to the Medscape health platform, common symptoms of prostate cancer include weight loss, loss of appetite, bone pain (with or without pathologic fracture), lower extremity pain, edema, and symptoms uremic.
Lower extremity pain often stems from sciatica, which is pain that travels along the sciatic nerve.
This is usually caused by damage to one or more of the nerves that start in the spine and run down the legs.
Symptoms of sciatica typically include pain, numbness, weakness, tingling, or tingling in the lower back, buttocks, legs, or feet.
However, lower extremity edema can provide visual clues that cancer cells are blocking lymph fluid from flowing.
“It can cause the legs to swell in that area,” says Cancer Research UK.
However, a healthy body notes that the swelling is often concentrated around the area where the cancer has spread.
Some of the more classic symptoms include heavy urination during the day or night and difficulty urinating, but these vary depending on the stage of the disease.
Medscape explains, “Prostate cancer is the most common type of non-skin cancer in men, making the diagnosis and release of this cancer a matter of medical and public concern.
“Although prostate cancer can grow slowly, the disease is responsible for more than 10% of cancer-related deaths in men, with tens of thousands of men dying of prostate cancer every year.”
Men are advised to start screening for the disease around age 50, although those at risk may benefit from earlier testing.
Common testing procedures include a doctor feeling the prostate through the rectum, as well as a blood test.
While prostate cancer is a notorious killer in men, the majority of patients die from the disease, not from it.
According to data, aggressive forms of prostate cancer kill around 12,000 people in the UK each year.
Height, high body mass index and low physical activity have all contributed to the burden of advanced prostate cancer.
Interestingly, WebMD lists low tomato sauce consumption as another disease risk factor in addition to smoking and increased calcium intake.
As with all cancers, there is no sure way to stop the disease.
However, increasing your intake of fruits and vegetables, reducing your intake of fat and charred meat, and adding green tea and soy can all help provide protection, according to Hopkins Medicine.
